WILLOW GLEN PSYCHIATRY FOR MEN
I believe that for the high-achieving man, mental health is not merely the absence of illness, but the presence of resilience, clarity, and purpose. My practice, Willow Glen Psychiatry For Men, is built on the philosophy that professional excellence and personal well-being are not mutually exclusive.
My approach is rooted in the highest standards of academic medicine. I earned my medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where I also completed my psychiatry residency and served as Chief Resident. Since 2008, I have been honored to serve as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford, helping to shape the next generation of psychiatric leaders.
As a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), I bring decades of experience in treating complex mood disorders, anxiety, and the unique stressors facing men in leadership roles.
Beyond the clinic, I am deeply involved in the leadership of the medical community. I serve as the President of the Physician Association of Northern California (VPANC) and as the Behavioral Health Medical Director for the Sonoma County Department of Health Services. These roles allow me to advocate for clinical contract oversight, medical ethics, and the elevation of psychiatric care standards across California.
I am the author of several clinical memoirs and guides, including Your Years Will Teach You What Your Days Do Not Know, The Concrete Mirror, and The Observer. My writing explores the themes of clinical wisdom and the quiet struggles of the modern man. I use these insights to help my clients navigate their own narratives, moving past performance plateaus and into a more integrated way of living.
In my years of practice, I have seen that high-performing men (tech executives, entrepreneurs, and physicians) often lack a space where they can be both vulnerable and challenged. I provide a discreet, concierge environment where we can address the specific dynamics of male psychology, from the pressures of fatherhood in a high-stakes economy to the loneliness at the top that often accompanies success.
