About Me
Stanford-trained Psychiatrist:
I bring a wealth of 20+ year experience and a passion for mental health to my practice.
Education and Experience:
I earned my medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, where a deep interest in patient understanding (biological, psychological, social, emotional, and cultural) led me to psychiatry.
I completed my residency training at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, gaining valuable experience in diverse settings (inpatient, outpatient, residential, and forensic). Ultimately, outpatient care resonated most, allowing me to build lasting therapeutic relationships with my patients.
Currently I serve as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University, actively contributing to the training of future generations of mental health professionals.
Patient-Centered Approach & Holistic Wellbeing:
I am dedicated to providing personalized and holistic mental healthcare, focusing on building a strong theraupeutic relationship with you.
I consider your biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that may be contributing to your struggles.
This holistic approach allows for a more comprehensive understanding of your needs.
Collaboration and Shared Decision-Making:
I listen attentively to your concerns and experiences and work collaboratively with you to understand your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan.
This plan may involve medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of all three.
Evidence-Based Treatment:
I utilize evidence-based treatment approaches that have been shown to be effective in addressing specific mental health conditions.
I stay up-to-date on the latest research and treatment options.
Compassion and Respect:
I provide a confidential, safe and supportive environment where you would feel comfortable discussing your challenges.
I treat you with respect, empathy, and non-judgment.
Continuous Monitoring and Adjustment:
I understand that treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I regularly monitor your progress and am willing to adjust the treatment plan as needed.
This ensures you receive the most effective care possible.
Personal Life:
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, music, hiking, gardening, and exploring the Hawaiian Islands.
