Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is essential to doing candid, effective work. Complete discretion also protects you from the long-term insurance complications (life, disability, medical) often triggered by diagnostic paper trails.

Strict Discretion: I will not confirm you are a client or share records with third parties, including family or insurers, without your explicit written permission. I maintain total transparency with you: any information shared with me about you will be shared directly with you.

Exceptions: By law, confidentiality must be breached in cases of imminent harm to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court orders signed by a judge. Insurance reimbursement will also require submitting your diagnosis.

Fees, Payment & Insurance

Therapy works best as a collaborative, accountable investment where both parties show up fully.

Rates & Scheduling: Current hourly rates are available directly on my online booking calendar. Payment is handled electronically at booking; in-office cash and cards are not accepted.

Insurance: I am an out-of-network provider and do not contract directly with insurers. If your plan covers out-of-network care, you can request reimbursement directly from them.

Medicare: I have opted out of Medicare. Medicare-eligible clients must agree to pay out-of-pocket without submitting claims to Medicare.

Affordable Alternatives: If my standard rate is not sustainable for you, I recommend seeking in-network providers, County or community clinics.

Cancellations & Contact

48-Hour Cancellation Policy: Sessions cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice incur no fee. Late cancellations are billed at full rate unless the slot can be filled.

Phone Consultations: Phone calls between sessions are billed pro-rata at my standard rate. Frequent between-session calls should be addressed during regular sessions to preserve treatment structure.

Emergencies: If you face an immediate medical or psychiatric crisis, call 911 or report to the nearest emergency department.

Boundaries & Legal Limitations

No Forensic or Disability Work: To eliminate conflicts of interest and keep focus entirely on recovery, I do not sign disability claims, perform legal assessments, or testify in legal matters (such as divorces or lawsuits).

Professional Dual-Relationship Limits: I maintain strict clinical boundaries: no outside social contact, gifts, or business ventures with clients or their families.
